  વિશ્વ દૃષ્ટિ દિવસ  એ એક  વૈશ્વિક આરોગ્યસંભાળ ઇવેન્ટ છે જે  દર ઓક્ટોબરના બીજા ગુરુવારે  ઉજવવામાં આવે છે  જેથી દ્રષ્ટિ અને આંખના સ્વાસ્થ્યની પ્રાથમિકતા પર પ્રકાશ પાડવાના સંદર્ભમાં જનજાગૃતિ પર ભાર મૂકવામાં આવે.  1 .  આ વર્ષે, વિશ્વ દૃષ્ટિ દિવસ 12 ઓક્ટોબર (ગુરુવાર) ના રોજ ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.  વર્લ્ડ સાઈટ ડે 2023 ની થીમ "કામ પર તમારી આંખોને પ્રેમ કરો" છે, જે  તમામ કોર્પોરેટ નેતાઓને તેમના કાર્યકરની આંખના સ્વાસ્થ્યને પ્રાથમિકતા આપવા અને કાર્યસ્થળ પર દ્રષ્ટિના મહત્વને સમજવા માટે વૈશ્વિક કૉલ છે. દ્રષ્ટિની ક્ષતિઓમાં શારીરિક, ભાવનાત્મક, સામાજિક અને આર્થિક અસર હોય છે અને તે વ્યક્તિના જીવનની ગુણવત્તા નક્કી કરવામાં આવશ્યક ભૂમિકા ભજવે છે.  વૈશ્વિક સ્તરે, વિશ્વભરમાં લગભગ 2.2 બિલિયન વ્યક્તિઓ દૃષ્ટિની ક્ષતિગ્રસ્ત છે  , અને  100 મિલિયન  લોકો દ્રષ્ટિની વિકલાંગતાથી પીડાય છે જે ટાળી શકાયું હોત અથવા હજુ પણ સંબોધિત નથી.  આગામી વર્ષોમાં, વૃદ્ધ વસ્તી અને બિન-સંચારી રોગો (NCDs) નો વધતો વ્યાપ જેમ કે ડાયાબિટીસ આંખના સ્વાસ્થ્યને લગતી મુશ્કેલીઓ વધારી શકે છે.  સીસી બુચ પબ્લિક ચેરીટેબલ ટ્રસ્ટ અને અમારા ટ્રસ્ટ
