A city lad  DeeshitSalat  is all geared up to register his name in both the  Guinness World Records  and  Limca  Book of Records with world's longest  mehndi  marathon . The existing world record is held by an Ahmedabad girl Dipti Desai, who in 2011 had set a record of applying mehndi on 140 hands (70 people) in 24 hours 45 minutes. With a dream to break this record, Salat started from Saturday morning and is attempting to set a record of applying mehndi on the hands of 200 to 300 women in 28 hours at a stretch.
